Buy a plan

1

Open Billing

In the Zata console, select Billing in the left menu, or Upgrade Plan on the dashboard.

2

Choose a plan

Select the button on the plan you want, for example Get Basic. For more than 100 TB, select Contact Sales.

3

Fill in your billing profile

The first time you buy, complete the billing profile: your name, email and phone number, an optional company name and GSTIN / Tax ID, and your billing address. Select Save Billing Profile.

You can’t edit the billing profile after you save it. To change it, contact support.

4

Pay

On Complete Your Purchase, check the amount. If you have a coupon, enter it under Have a coupon? and select Apply. Then select Complete Secure Payment.

After you pay, Billing shows your plan: Current Plan, Account Status, Storage Allocated, Storage Used, the period dates, your egress use, and Transaction History. In Transaction History, select Send invoice to get an invoice by email.

Renew

You can renew the same plan during the last 5 days of the period. Billing then shows Renewal Due in N Days and a Renew Now button.

When you renew early, the new 30 days start when the current period ends, so you don’t lose any days.

Upgrade

You can move to a larger plan at any time from Billing.

  • The unused days of your current plan are taken off the price of the new plan.
  • The new plan’s 30-day period starts on the day you pay.

If your account was suspended because you used more egress than your plan includes, you can only upgrade (not renew). In that case you pay the full price of the new plan, without credit for unused days.

Downgrade

You can’t move to a smaller plan while your plan is active. After the plan expires, Billing shows Downgrade Your Plan with the smaller plans that your stored data still fits in.

When a plan expires

If you don’t renew, your account goes through these stages:

StageWhenWhat happens
ActiveUntil the end dateEverything works.
Grace period5 days after the end dateEverything still works. Renew now to avoid an interruption.
Suspended, data keptFrom the end of the grace period until 90 days after the end dateYou can’t use your storage, but your data is kept. Renewing restores everything.
DeletedAfter 90 daysYour data can be deleted permanently and can’t be recovered.

Billing shows a banner for each stage, with the date your data will be deleted.

Data retention fee

If you pay after your plan’s end date, you also pay for the days between the end date and the payment date, at your plan’s daily rate (plan price ÷ 30). The fee covers at most 90 days. It shows as a separate line at checkout and on your invoice. Your new 30-day period starts on the day you pay.

For example, if you renew a Standard plan 14 days late, you pay ₹3,470 for the new period plus ₹1,619 (₹3,470 ÷ 30 × 14) for the 14 days, before GST.

Free trial

A new account gets a 15-day free trial that includes both regions. To keep your data after the trial, buy a plan. If you don’t, your trial data is kept for 30 days after the trial ends and then deleted.
